Debt not on DMP Cant Add to it what to do?

I have a Virgin Mobile debt that is not on my DMP and I cannot add anymore creditors to my DMP as SC have told me I am on my second DMP so cannot change it now.
I have had a letter from BPO collections demanding £888 or threatening a Home Visit or Legal Action.
Do i write to them with an offer of payment? What will they realistically accept? Should I call them and inform them of my situation?
Thanks in advance.

Hello there,
If the £888 is in addition to the £8150 that you've listed in your signature you should look to offer about 10% of what you have available each month to pay your debts with. This equates to their 'pro-rata' share. Of course, it may be tricky given the situation with Stepchange - and I'm very sorry to learn that it cannot be added to the DMP. Out of interest, how much do you pay to your DMP each month?

Hi David,
No it's not included in that amount at the moment.
I pay £250 a month on my DMP.
Thanks,LBM(2) Jan 2014 - Debt £17500

Hi,
Could you try going through another company (Payplan springs to mind) and add the Virgin debt in?

I'd rather not have another DMP running alongside my current one if I can help it.
Might give SC a call again tonight and see if they will let me add another creditor in with a slight increase in monthly payment?LBM(2) Jan 2014 - Debt £17500

Thanks,
You could ask Stepchange to reduce the payment to them to £225 so that you can give £25 to Virgin. Not ideal, but it *is* treating all creditors fairly. And that's the aim of the game
