Just spotted this on the TS site:

    Makro Trampoline recall

Appears to only apply to the 13' one. I presume other retailers selling a near identical trampoline may have similar defects.

My local is getting these back in on Tuesday apparently...presumably with any safety issues resolved...

does anyone have any further details about them... springs, max weight ht etc?

    Cheers

We bought the 8ft one from Makro with enclosure for £99 a couple of months ago and it was a Body-Sculpture model. If the 13ft one is also a Body-Scuplture, which seems likely, then all the specs should be the same as this. The maximum user weight for ours is the same at 100KG (16st). I would really, really recommend an enclosure though - ours has saved adults and children alike from bouncing off the edge. With a 13' you'll obviously have a lot more bouncing room though.

A few words of advice. It takes two people to put it together. Follow the instructions and work clockwise from your 'zero' point otherwise you'll end up with springs in the wrong place. Loop the spring through the mat first, then using the supplied 'spring tensioner tool' pull the spring towards you, bracing yourself against the frame, and get person two to guide it into the appropriate hole. The picture in my manual shows this but the text says to put the spring through the frame and pull the mat towards it. This works fine until your pulling the mat against twenty already fitted springs when it becomes impossible to fit any more springs. Pulling against one spring is far easier than twenty! We put 12"x12" pieces of ply under each leg to stop the trampoline sinking into the ground and making ruts, which it had already started to do just by putting it together and having a quick test bounce - ahem!

Oh, and get to Makro EARLY! There were only four left when we arrived at 10am! :j
