Will Nationwide listen

Hi,

I am very very stressed applying for a mortgage. We promised we would move quick so have paid for searches, valuations & instructed solicitors etc, but are still waiting for our mortgage offer.

We have applied with Nationwide who we already have a mortgage with for £27K, finishing in 7 years. We now want £45K against purchase price of £250K over 21 years and without boring everyone with the details, although the DIP was an immediate accept, it has now been back & forth from MA to underwriters who now tell me it is back with the MA as they have again reduced amount they will lend to £44700 (£100 less than they reduced us to last time) so the MA needs to discuss new figures with us!

We are happy to put a further £100 deposit down, but they also mentioned undisclosed debts which is why I assume they have reduced the amount again. I did disclose all debts and when I applied for the DIP I told them that we had only just paid £3k off the Barclaycard balance & I was aware that Experian still had the old balance on. She just said its up to you what figure I put down so I went with the new up to date balance. Nothing has come back about this before today, but I have already provided Nationwide with the bank statements showing the £3k payment & the Barclaycard statement with the new balance just in case. Experian still does not show the lower balance, although Barclaycard say they have provided it.

Are Nationwide likely to take all my proof, or will they keep insisting it's undisclosed debt?

Any advice would be welcome.
