No rules set down by MSE about how much peeps must post, join in, no need even to register. And it is MSE that sets the agenda.

Lurking is absolutely fine if that is what peeps want to do. And those that feel comfortable posting keep on keeping on :T

This whole site is all about helping people save money in a shed load of wonderful and different ways. Everyone should have equal access to that benefit and it is why MSE is such a great site and such a good resource for so many :j

    Tenth Anniversary
Good Morning, I suppose I am one of the lurkers:o, but when I do post I am always made welcome which makes me feel even more inadequate, I love the comradery on here and all the insults that are :rotfl: and just laughed off, but would not be able to join in for lack of confidence, even in real life I have a hard time accepting that anyone would want my company that said I am sooo grateful for all the shopping info and have used some this last week so a huge thank you to all.:)

    Morning,

Another lurker popping in to say hello. I have so much gratitude to all of you on here and although I'm rubbish at actually finding good deals And posting I have kept upto date with the elite for over a year now and because of you guys my life has really improved. I too have a kid with ASD and listening to Fairclaires humorous and pragmatic parenting insights with her DS2 have helped me stop trying to normalise my son and to start enjoying him. We are both so much happier for this.

I realised I should start posting when I was sat alone at the late night emergency dentist in south pain and reading the night shift posts were so comforting to me- I think of you as old friends so I will try to keep in touch on here more regularly.

    Happy birthday Emma xx
  • morning everyone - just off to see if Mr Morrison the butcher has stocked up on pork shoulder joints yet! I managed to get 2 yesterday- cooked 1 last night, really nice.

Anyone going to SAdA today, according to total coupon site - 500ml Fanta Zero scanning at 25p in Sada. BC ends1397. Worth a try if anyone needs them, however I still have a garage full of Harrogate spring water x

Have a good day everyone xxx

A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together ;)

    Thank you :D :A
c'mon my elite friends.......my birthday budget is £50  well it's usually CC vouchers :o but let's have a challenge.......

Find DS2 a coke fridge for under £50 :o:D :rotfl:

Try putting a wants advert on your local Freecycle or Freecycle cafe group - won't be new but might be within budget :D

I'm a lurker who occasionally joins in to contribute, I've tried being a part of the group a few times before, but too often was ignored so I only pipe up when I have something to add that might be helpful.
Anyway, my helpful bit today is I noticed on groupon that they have tickets to 'Tesco Wine Fair'. £6 gets you in to apparently go taste up to 350 wines  I would not be taking the car that day :D

Everyone is welcome at the Hotel California :D We don't really ignore you, you sometimes have to shout up a bit to make yourself heard among all the chatter on here :D I do not manage to find many deals but I still poke my head in :D

Lurkers - interesting debate. I would say I am only new to this so haven't had much time to notice or whatever but I think on a thread like this you'll always get lurkers and there's nowt you can do about it, they're here for the glitches.

But... I am often more of a lurker than a poster for 2 reasons.
    1. Takes a long time to read so don't have much time to post a response or if I do I realise someone else has replied anyway by the time I've written it!
    2. Sometimes posts are skipped. I'm not criticising, the thread moves quickly, many of you know each other in RL or from a long standing chat on here so you're bound to have more of a connection and chat to each other more than newbies. I personally don't have a problem with that and tbf I've found people generally helpful and kind, especially the regulars. But I have seen people get annoyed that they've been 'ignored' and if you're not as used to forums and the like it's easy to take it personally.

As for glitches, I think that's harder to post. You're right that we can all check but for me I've only just started and so would have no idea what to do, no hand held scanners in my As and can't get msl on my phone so it would be a case of writing it all down and then comparing, and constantly buying or bugging the SAs.

Speaking of which, did a couple of shops yesterday and they didn't go as planned. :( Still, wanted to flag up a couple of things that may be helpful.

    I'd say I'm 75% a lurker, I try to post here when I get time :o
I don't tend to post many glitches either mainly because I haven't got the first idea on how to find them :o
But then again I haven't taken advantage of any of the As glitches posted in the last few months. I don't have any reeds or candles or anything else that's been glitching recently.
I'm just here for the entertainment :D

You have to check on what flavours of pizzas the shops do, some shops do not do some of the flavours.
