It was spareroom.com I was thinking about this morning - you put the town name in the search box and you can also put in wanted adverts.

This is going to be a difficult search as they def need a flat or a house and it needs to be ASAP so that grandson can register for school in September.

I am also thinking that they could make some postcards adverts and take them to newsagents in areas where they would like to live close to high schools eg Londis, Nisa, spa etc

I can see you are trying to look out for him, but saving/ finances aren't always a priority for younger people. Maybe just have a quiet word and encourage him to keep an eye on his spending? Other than that all you can do is be there for him if he does end up broke?
But many of us have been broke and lived to tell the tale.
