Hiya
Does anyone no how much a load of washing costs to wash in a launderette, my washer has just died. Also how big are washloads you can do in one machine. Many thanks

The launderette near me ranges from £5.50 to £8 depending on the size of the machine. In a £5.50 one we can get a big blue ikea bag full of laundry in. We have no washing machine in our flat and no where to put one so it's handy that we have a launderette opposite!

Crikey, last time I used a launderette back in 1970 it was 2/6d (13p)plus 6d(3p) for the dryer.I am so out of touch I think :):):)

Thanks everybody, thats quite expensive I may just take the bedding and towels then and wash everything else in the bath till I can get sorted with my washer. I just hope I can get it fixed because I can't afford a new one at the moment.

Do you have to wait till its finished or can you come back when its finished? Kids aren't allowed in our local one so could only go on a sat once a fortnight when my dh has the day off.
