shared ownership mortgage with Halifax help!

me and my partner applied for a shared ownership mortgage and we received our mortgage offer last week.
We have a solicitor in place who sent us a letter with the words 'I need to address a few issues with your lender'
I called her straight away asking what was meant by that?
she said that halifax could withdraw my offer as the shared ownership house has the 21 year pre emption (where if I staircase up to 100% in the first 21 years I have to offer the house to the housing association to buy first before going on the open market,
we are the first people to buy a share in the house and this is our first share in the house not a remortgage, has anyone got a shared ownership mortgage through halifax and gone through this? I thought most shared ownership houses had this pre emption 21 years clause?

Seems odd. We have applied for a shared ownership mortgage and this hasn't come up. I thought the term was pretty standard?

Strange we have our offer subject to valuation and it hasn't come up and our solicitor is acting for halifax as well. So they must of had dealings before.

We have had our valuation done it has come up after that, do you have the 21 year pre emption on your lease nickyjnoo?

I have a shared ownership flat and have the same clause. I didn't have any problems with mortgage app.

I did moan about it to my solicitor who told me it was a pretty standard clause.

Just checked has the same clause. I think it's standard in SO. We shall see if they say anything. My solicitor had been dealing with SO for years. So they might of said something by now.
