You can look online for a provider who will accept transfers in. Normally stakeholder pensions will be ok. But you may also want to consider transferring to your new employer's scheme?
Stephen Covey once said that "when you teach once, you learn twice". That is the primary reason for my participation on the forums as an IFA.

Although I strive to provide accurate information in my posts, there may be the odd time when I fail. Yes I know it's hard to believe but even Your Hero can make mistakes. Apologies in advance.

It's not easy trying to understand exactly what you're asking.
Can you try using some Capital letters and full stops.

What you're being told is normal. If you get stuck for a place to move, Hargreaves Lansdown is helpful and not too expensive for the amount of money that you have. If you ask them to send you a pension transfer form you just fill it in and send it back and they will take care of the rest.

And if you wanted the money back, it wont be 5000. They will take off income tax and Nics too, so the amt you get will most likely be 3K or less.

So do transfer, into a new PP or your new employers scheme.

Does your new employer have a pension scheme and will it accept transfers?

If not you might try http://www.cavendishonline.co.uk/pensions/transfers-and-repensioning/
