Raffle to win weeks accomm in Tenerife

Hi All

Need some advice please.
On 13th September I will be jumping out of a plane and skydiving on behalf of Dogs Trust.
As part of raising money I will be raffling off a week accommodation in Tenerife in a 2 bed villa with private pool.
Firstly, am I allowed to advertise this on here and secondly can I ask people to sponsor me on a charity website?

Thanks

Matt :D

I'm afraid not. The rules say

MoneySavingExpert.com is a free site - you cannot pay to buy space - one of the reasons why so many people use it! Equally you are not allowed to advertise any goods, services and/or companies anywhere on the forum, or through private messages (PMs), no matter how honourable the intention.

'Advertising' includes touting for business; asking people to contact you; posting e-mail addresses which indicate a web address; linking to sites or blogs you or friends are involved in (whether you’re selling something or not), or to your eBay or other auction sales.

You might be able to post in the charities section asking for sponsorship

Part of the rules you will need to meet are

To be on this board posts must obey the following rules:

    1. Any links must benefit a UK registered charity. The details of the charity number and link to the website must be given.

    2. Any sponsorship links must go via the legitimate online charity sponsorship sources such as Justgiving. Direct soliciting for money or sponsorship by any other method isn't permitted as it would be open to abuse.

    3. Absolutely no links for personal gain may be posted..... even if the money will be split with a charity..... or even if you 'promise to give all the cash to charity'. There is no way to prove this so it will be deleted.
