Homepride Chilli Cooking Sauces - Tin vs Jar's

Have used the cooking jars for ages now, but happened to notice they also do tins today at Tesco (they are on offer - 2 for a quid). Jars are normally £1.34 for 500g, so with special offer you can get 2 500g tins for £1. I assume its the same stuff inside? Does anyone know?

Since I was at school I was fed on Homepride Curry from a tin and I am now nearing 40 yrs old and still use the tins.
I have used the jars only when they are on special offer and they seem the same to me.

Buy a jar of Minara's Hot Chili Powder from Tescos, Asda etc. (1 teaspoon for hot .5 teaspoon for mild), chop an onion and the chili powder, stir for a couple of minutes, add 250ml of stock (oxo cube in hot water) and a tin of chopped tomatoes. Simmer for 20 mins. Far, far cheaper and tastes fantasticComping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

Me too, Ive been really addicted to the jars in a long time. Just tried the tin tonight, and its no where near as nice, but still really good value for the price.
Im sure once you've chucked all the meat and veg in that you might not tell the difference, but I could... (or was it all in the mind!)
