Easy batch cooks

Any ideas?

I need freezer ideas for lunch and dinner. Also ideas for sweet treats that will keep in maybe a tupperwear box for a few days, tray bakes, or biscuits or something.

I can do a great bolonese, both vegetarian and using meat, which can turn easily into a lasanae.

But bit stuck for ideas beyond that.

Please keep all ideas as idiot proof as possible - I don't cope well with complex cooking :o

Soup, pretty much any type will do unless it has pasta, rice or chunks of potatoes as they will go mushy. Soup is also super easy and idiot proof - well mostly idiot proof, I have burnt leek and potato soup before today.

Chilli is also a simple, easy meal to batch prepare. Filling too.

Stew should also do well for batch cooking.

Goulash is also a good one to make batches of, but I don't know how idiot proof it is as I can't cook it.

Pretty much any pasta sauce works well for batch cooking.

  • HM burgers freeze really well. And not just beefburgers, things like lamb, feta and courgette burgers, too.
Or meatballs - pork and chorizo meatballs are a favourite in this house.
Chicken and veggies done in the slow cooker can be frozen and can be left as a stew or become a pie.
Whenever white fish is on offer I'll buy up a couple of kilos, chop into fingers and coat with panko breadcrumbs for HM fishfingers.
HM pizzas (easy peasy to make the dough if you have a breadmaker).
Curry sauce can be made pretty easily and then frozen into portions, to add to meat/veg and turn into anything from korma to vindaloo.
Cookie dough can also be rolled into logs, wrapped in greaseproof paper and frozen.
