Hi Guys,
As i have previously posted i have set up a token payment with Stepchange to pay all my creditors £1 a month until February 2015 when i get back on my feet.
I have received a letter from SLL Capital stating that they do not accept the offer from stepchange and that i have to pay £30 now to stop them sending me to court with also top up payments every month along with the token payments from Stepchange!
The weird thing is this is the 1st i have heard from them as the creditor has only just sent my account to them. I have never delt with them before and they seem really nasty.
Will they take me to court??
Should i make the payments??
Stepchange have sent them my income & expenditure forms so they know i have no money at all extra each month. Is it unreasonable that they are asking me for this?
Please help me.

Simply contact stepchange and tell them, they are managing your DMP so you must inform them.
If you look again at the letter, it will most likely say "we may" or "We could" take court action.
Its a standard threatogram letter you have received.
Contact stepchange, they will handle it for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. They say my account is at pre court stage, how can this be if this is the 1st i am hearing from them? Surely i should have had a letter from someone saying i am going to pre court stage?0

Look back at the letter. A lot say "pre litigation" along with "ifs" "buts" and "maybes".
It is likely that they are bluffing.
Call Stepchange and talk it through with them. I am pretty sure SLL should also be talking to Stepchange and not bothering you too.BSC No 248

It is at pre court - ie they wont GO to court.
Just another blagging letter to scare you into paying more.
If you wasn't on the DMP I'd be tempted to write back to ask them to put that they are declining your offer in writing and that you are withdrawing your offer and have some fun with these goons.0
