Child Maintenance

Options
Just saw this on another thread, but just thought I'd start my own.

My ex pays me £350 a month for our two girls. This was agreed between the two of us.

Will this be taken into consideration when I look to get a new mortgage?

    It might.

It depends on lender. Some want it court-ordered, or CSA-linked.

Affordability will also take into you have 2 dependents. Maintenance will also cease once the children leave FTE. So needs to be thought through.

Yeah, I'd been noticing that having dependants lowered how much I could borrow. Thought the two might balance each other out if I can borrow more thanks to the maintenance.

My oldest is going into Yr 1 and my youngest is only starting nursery in September, so there's a while yet before they are out of full time education.
