Is it possible to calculate what a reasonable return on £1,200.00 would be on an AVC left from 1993 until 2014?
Historically would it have done any better elwhere?

Not really a mortgage issue, probably better on pensions and annuites, but return would be determined by what the fund invests in, then compared with other similar funds to see how it is performing relative to other in the same sector.I am a mortgage broker.
