Bank statements aren't required until an application is submitted.
Once the broker can work out who to place the case with, an agreement in principle can usually be obtained in minutes.
If the decision is "refer" it may take a couple of days to for the lender to decide it is happy to lend and in some cases, some documentation may be required at that time.
