I just wondered, have any of you won competitions where they pay you cash via Paypal?

Maybe I'm paranoid, but having heard so many warnings about not giving personal financial details out online it makes me feel a little nervous.

How do they organise these competitions so that you can safely receive the funds without compromising your own online security?

I've won on the free postcode lottery - they only asked for my email address

Yes - to pay into PayPal you only need the email address with which you registered your PayPal account. As long as you don't go clicking on dodgy links in phishing mails - there's a LOT of these with PayPal! - you'll be fine - it's very secure.

Worst case scenario is that you have to give out hand over your account number & sort code.

Isn't all that "secret" information on the the bottom of our cheques though :-)

I have a designated comping email for all comps which isn't my paypal email.

When entering paypal comps, which email should use?

You can have more than one e-mail linked to your paypal account so if you wanted you could add your comping e-mail as a secondary e-mail address.

When I won money from Skills off they just asked me to confirm what address i wanted to be paid to. It's just an email address I give more info to normal comps x

Does that mean it is mostly paid straight into the email address you have entered with?

I don't know about mostly but I have seen it mentioned.
