Luck with rafflecopter/gleam

Do many people bother with them or have much luck?! I did all of them for a while- month or so but find they take so long with all the options it was taking a few hours in a day so didn't have time to enter any regular comps. The odds seem good compared to other comps but I'm always worried I'm entering them wrong or pasting the wrong thing etc!!! Plus they do take a long time as my ipad loads twitter so slowly I'm always waiting for a min or so each time! I haven't one anything apart from a code for an identity fraud thing.
So love or avoid them?

my cousin has won twice on rafflecopter ones , even though she does not really bother with them much.
i think one was a canvas and another was a Roku TV box [and she only entered that one twice apparently, the lucky devil when there were 8000 entries!]
just do the ones you are really interested in winning0 -
I don't seem to have had as much luck with them as I think I should have had based on the total number of entries and how many times I have entered, if that makes sense. I do wonder if what some people have said about bloggers choosing other bloggers as the winner is true.0

I enter raffles/gleam and have been quite lucky so far, both with the raffles/gleam I have entered daily by retweeting etc, and the raffles/gleam I have entered just once.
The good thing about the raffles/gleam is that you don't have to retweet daily - you could do it once, once every other day, once a week or when you have a spare few moments. If I really like the look of the prize, I enter daily and if I am not so fussed but would love to own it, I enter just once.
I think most bloggers are honest but there are probably some who hand pick their winners. I like to see the winners name chosen by the rafflecopter in the rafflecopter at the end but this isn't always the case? I wonder if any bloggers reading this could let us know why this might happen.
Mind you, it works both ways, as I have also heard some bloggers say that they see entrants trying to cheat their rafflecopter but luckily these cheats are being disqualified as bloggers are becoming more vigilant in checking the winner's entries! Here is a link to a good article written by Jo at Given to Distracting Others on the subject: http://nblo.gs/YdCfN It is good to see Jo checking her entrants and running giveaways properly and fairly!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Back Comping in 2024!0 -
I've won quite a lot of rafflecopter competitions - at the moment, its averaging out at 1 a week for the past couple months. They're good for makeup and beauty stuff although I did win a really nice expensive handbagJanuary Wins - Signed Higgidy Cookbook, Koala
February Wins - Leather filofax, Ted Baker pen and case, Orla kiely notebook, Nail polish
March Wins - Easter egg0 -
I won quite a few times last year, and then this year not once!
Still, always worth entering I think. You can't win if you don't!0 -

It should only appear in the rafflecopter if it is chosen by rafflecopter.

Wow one a week very lucky!i thought i may have won one given the odds on some of them! I am always puzzled about why sometimes the name is at the bottom or not and still don't understand why they are/are not! i do get worried i will be disqualified with the things like goggle plus as if there are daily entries sometimes i can't do it again when i pressed i did for some reason. Think i will just do the ones i really like as probably spent a good few days of my life on them in a month with no return eeekk! thanks for the replies :T0

When you moderate entries and let rafflecopter pick a winner there's a little button saying 'display on widget' so it's purely the blogger not ticking that button. Personally I do it every time but I think thats the comper in me influencing my blogging behaviour0
