With the hot weather and my 2x PC's running my room is currently 29C with both windows open and a fan on! I think its time to invest in an A/C Unit can anyone answer the following questions for me..
1) I've heard of an "Easy Fit" inverter A/C unit this is where the outside and internal unit are connected with a sort of clip mechanism...these units are quite cheap but are they any good? As I'm not very good at DIY I've had a local firm quote me £100 to install this unit but they are unable to say if they are any good?
Something like this...i've seen cheaper units for around £400

I've had quotes from other firms for a tradational A/C unit and they are all around £750 although one firm said they could install one for £500 if its done "off the books"...

If that's one that comes with
then be aware you can't shorten the umbilical cord, so you will have to find somewhere to coil it up neatly, and if it's exposed outside it may degrade.Supplied with 4m umbillical interconnecting hose with push fit connection - no spanners required to install - all you need is a drill and a screwdriver.
In terms of fitting it is just rawl-plugging the walls to take the weight of the units and drilling a hole to feed the umbilical through.
Check noise ratings carefully too. Air-con can annoy neighbours.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
