Hi, We have a mortgage application appointment set up for next week and have just checked our credit files with Equifax and have found a few things: 1) I still had one of my credit cards and current accounts registered at my previous address. I have corrected the current account address online today and will go into branch…

Hi Wookie

It didn't seem to as we went to the broker the same week so presumably the credit files take a little while to catch up>
We went to a local "Mortgage Shop "broker (on the high st in Northern Ireland so not sure what the equivalent is in GB)
We were able to get a 2.39 deal fixed for 2 years which is a top market deal so I do think a broker is the way to go.
