New Mortgage and settled Default?

my dh credit score is 999 so excellent, he has a default on there settled in full june this year
is the going to stop him getting any sort of mortgage?

    There will be lenders available to you but it could be worth speaking to a broker as a £7k default is pretty large.

    tell me about it its my stupid fault not his he just got passed it as was joint
    luckily now completely paid, lesson learned
    any idea how part exchanges work, we have three valuation 115 119950 and 127500 so a vast covering ive no idea where in that a value would come

    Why take six years to settle?

    Was this under an arrangement to pay?

    i took six years to settle as we didnt realise it had passed to him, only recently started to use somewhere to check ratings
    we settled it as soon as we knew
    i thought it was in an arrangement i had
