Free/cheap contact lences ckeck-up?

Is anyone aware if there are any promotions/special deals for contact lences check ups? All I can find are the free eye tests.

Many Thanks

i was looking for the same thing; initially booked tesco opticians before reading that they charge £15 for contacts assessment altho' the eye est itself is free
have now booked specsavers eye test (free with voucher)but confirmed with them that i need a contacts assessment, and they have said it will be free after my eye test.

Specsavers assessments are only "free" if you enter the lensmail scheme to buy your lenses from them. Customers need to do the sums beforehand to see if this is the best deal for them.

The clubcard boost is on at Tesco at the moment and includes opticians. I have gone for a free trial even though I have been wearing contact lenses for over 13 years. When I am totally satisfied I have to pay the £15 which covers any aftercare for one year.

So I shall pay £15 for the aftercare (my optician used to charge £35) and 6 lenses (multifocal £22.75 for box of 3) = £60.50 then with the boost I need to give £30.25 in Tesco vouchers which I think is very good indeed.
