If you want a basic budgeting help/money management course then you might like to see if there is a CAP money course near you. https://capuk.org/i-want-help/cap-money-course/introduction. Christians Against Poverty are recommended by Martin (Christian is why they do it and you don't have to be a Christian to attend or get debt help. I'm a money coach and the course may be held all on one day or for about 2 1/2 hours over 3 weeks. It consists of short videos, discussions, quizzes, and budget building. You don't have to disclose any personal information if you don't want to as you can work on hypothetical budgets from different scenarios given out on the course.

Also, the Open University site Open Learn has part of the level 1 Personal Finance course available for free. http://www.open.edu/openlearn/money-management/money/personal-finance/you-and-your-money/content-section-0 I did the full course last year and would recommend it to anyone who fancied learning more about mortgages, pensions, budgets and planning for the future. I understand that the cost of the full course may be too much for the op or others reading this, although funding is available for OU courses under some circumstances.
