Thanks and a question

So after 2 months of comping I have got my first win from this thread

So a big thanks to Laks and everyone else who posts.

It's looking increasingly unlikely however that I am going to be able to go as our babysitter has let us down. What would be the best thing to do in this situation?

I was notified by voicemail yesterday of the win and the tickets are for Tuesday and so need to be collected on arrival. I am assuming you will need to produce ID to collect therefore preventing me from gifting the tickets?

Should I try calling the number from which the voicemail was left to see if they can offer them to someone else.

I don't like the idea of bad comping karma and I am gutted that I can't go and my first win should be a "waste". Does anyone gave any suggestions?

Dump the babysitter.

Take the kids with you.

Ask friends for babysitters' numbers. Or ask promoter if they can be gifted (could risk just gifting them, I've never actually been asked for it despite them saying I'd have to show it - not much fun for your friends though if turned away!) or give them up to be redrawn
