Thanks dfod. I have some good support and they've been rallying round but nobody can take away my little girl's pain and it's really tough.
In money news, the water bill has shot up! A certain someone keeps leaving the tap running!!!
OH got paid today, so making some guesses about outgoings (probably miles off) I've overpaid £700 for this month. That should take us down to about £52,500 I hope, which means we will have paid off a quarter of the mortgage in less than 2 years. I'm such a saddo - I was so excited to see he'd been paid because I've been dying to make another overpayment.
Yesterday I tried and failed to make flapjacks. As usual I didn't have the right ingredients and I guessed the amounts (and slipped with the sugar) and basically made some horribly sweet toffee with a few oats in. DD and OH thought it was lovely!
I then trapped my finger in the cupboard door whilst cooking dinner so I have a lovely bruise. I just shouldn't ever have to cook really. Luckily it's leftovers tonight, but I'll probably drop them on the floor or burn them. :rotfl: It's a good job DD gets a healthy lunch at school.
I've done precisely nothing today as I needed to recharge my batteries some more. I have yet more stress next week so fingers crossed for an okay weekend.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

I missed you there muser1! Thanks so much to all of you for the support. Last week was really tough and I'm sure we have many more weeks like it to come, but we had a lovely Sunday and I am holding onto that!
So, some numbers for February:
I have now paid off a quarter of my mortgage!! :j:j:j
Daily interest is down to £3.80
I have knocked 2.5 years off my end date
I managed to add a nice amount to the savings this month too.
Biggest outgoings for this month were clothes and shoes for a rapidly growing little girl who has infinitely more fashion sense than I ever had at that age (would have worn the same leggings and t-shirt every day if I had the choice!). Also clothes for OH who is growing outwards!
£300 travel costs, which is about right, and 60 eye watering pounds spent on medicines, plasters and headlice treatment (which it turned out we didn't need). £180 on groceries, which has become the new norm as I haven't the inclination to shop any cheaper at the moment! That did include a few easter eggs, lots of dental stuff, and many many treats to get me through the hard days (and beer for OH).
I had a moment of excitement when I thought I'd won £5 on the lottery (it's a charity one I do in memory of a friend's husband) but I hadn't. :rotfl:
I better get some lunch - how does 6 hours disappear so quickly each school day?!!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

2 weeks since I last posted! I've been quite ill and I'm still on antibiotics, which has been hard work.
The ignition on the oven has gone so I spent £2.65 on a lighter thing. Stupid oven. It's only 18 months old.
My only remaining pair of okay jeans have torn, so I've sewn them up for now but desperately trying to find some nice ones in the charity shop, which really isn't being helped by the charity shops being constantly closed.
I bought DD some beautiful new school shoes and by Thursday they were wrecked. Grrrr. Then got her some lovely trainers and by that afternoon they were covered in mud (they're pink and glittery - or they were). I think the answer is clogs.
I got adoption pay again this month, so maybe this is the last month. A nice surprise anyway.
OH's contract still hasn't been sorted and he didn't get an interview for the job he went for. Booooo. Trying not to panic.
We spent a small fortune on the garden at the weekend. Lots of compost, a blueberry bush, some clematis, a tree and a camellia. It already looks a lot better as we inherited a garden that had bare borders with the odd 20 year old gnarly rose. I've also been sowing lots of seeds.
DD has so many birthday parties to attend now that I have ordered some sets of books from the book people to break up into gifts.
I've also bought DD a learn to tell the time watch and I got it so cheap that I bought OH a new watch for his birthday.
I'm aware this is a disjointed post. :rotfl: That's how my brain is right now.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

It turns out the ignition hadn't broken, just the plug bar!! Oh well, it's good to have an emergency lighter in the house.
Side effects from the antibiotics have reached the point where I'm pondering not finishing the course. I just can't face getting an appointment at the doctors right now (can't walk down there!) and the infection seemed to have gone after 1 week.
