£10 voucher redeemed on Ipsos...at last.

    Spreadsheets up to date.

Signature updated - so very close to 10% paid off! Should happen on the 1st.

I'm on antibiotics (extra ones to normal), which is a bit rubbish.

Spent £4.10 on the bus, £1.79 in the cheap card shop and £2 odd on Sensodyne for my rubbish teeth.

Thank you! I have a long-term condition so abs play a big part in my life (unfortunately) but I had hoped to be well for a bit longer this time. :o Thankfully the side-effects aren't too atrocious - just nausea really at the moment.

:j I'm incredibly excited to announce that my spreadsheet adds up!! :D I was really expecting it not to as I've not been on the ball this month.

So, some figures are required for March

    Gas and Electric use:
    Average daily Gas - 68p
    Average daily Electric - 26p

I'm pretty pleased with those numbers. My monthly DD has gone down to £57 and I'm in lots of credit. Hoorah!

My MF date is now 13 months closer than it was back in August!! :T

It's nice to have knocked a whole year off. I need to colour in a few squares on my mortgage house this week. I've also reached the 10% paid off mark, which is nice.

My savings just about broke even this month, which is a slight concern as I like both of the lines on my Mortgage-Neutral graph to keep heading in the right direction!

In other news, I have put my first ever thing on ebay. The garage door is on at £5 as it's collection only so I'm not expecting much interest and I just want to get rid of it really. Knowing my luck, somebody will steal it before they can pick it up. :-)

In bad news, our dry ridge tiles were clearly put up by an amateur and don't appear to be fixed to anything. The bad weather meant that lots have actually fallen right off and I had to go up the ladder to remove one piece from next door's roof!! So we'll have to pay someone to fit them properly, which I suspect won't be cheap. There's always something!

No word from the shed company as to when they will be delivering.

So, things to do in April:

    Sort out terrible roof
Put up shed (when it arrives)
Get quotes for the gate and possibly railing for old garage platform edge
Get quotes for woodworking in bedroom
Get new tyres for the car
    Go to the dentist
    Start driving lessons
    Keep sowing seeds
Hope the badger doesn't destroy any more of the garden

Hmmm...seems a lot. So much going on this month too!!

:-( re the tiles.. hope it isn't too costly to get fixed.

Your toDo list for April is a lot, good luck!!

    Glad your spreadsheet adds up!!

What does your coloured square house look like??

I hope the tiles don't cost too much too! At least we know of a roofer who won't rip us off but the scaffolding is always an issue because we have a conservatory right across the back of the house.

My house is just drawn on a piece of A3 sugar paper and looks vaguely like our house, but divided up into 187 squares (£1000 per square). I've coloured in all of the bits we actually own so I can see how we're progressing. I've been managing to colour in a square most months at the moment but when we're earning less (probably next year) I might have to sub-divide them!! :D

Today I paid for my first 5 hours of driving lessons and drove a car for the first time. I was less nervous than I thought but there's so much to remember. I'm going to try to practice the order of everything at home between lessons. The instructor seems lovely and patient and positive!

OH foolishly suggested a trip into town to spend his gift vouchers. On Good Friday!! We probably spent about £5 in fuel whilst looking for a parking space. :rotfl: Anyway, he has 2 computer games that cost him nothing so he's happy and it meant we could use the a1di with the big car park, so that was good.

Managed not to go crazy on Easter chocolate (we don't even celebrate it but hard to resist chocolate) and just bought a 99p egg to share and some 60p little bunnies. I gave up my 89p sundae and OH didn't buy his usual beer so we probably spent less than usual. Did have to buy £2 compost though for my Mum's blackberry plant. Hopefully I'll make it back in free blackberries over the years! :D

In other MSE news, I've been trying to watch "The Book Group" on All 4 (used to be 4od) but my internet is really slow and it was driving me mad. I very nearly ordered both DVDs from the internet but managed to stop myself and stick with the buffering.

Tomorrow should be very cheap as we're going to friends for lunch and then to a restaurant for dinner, which we think is being paid for. Otherwise, it'll be a very expensive day!

Typical! Arg0s have 15% off sheds today. Damn. Oh well.

Yesterday we got free lunch and dinner, which was very nice.

Today I have been gorging myself on chocolate and doing lots of gardening in the sunshine.

    I have:

Planted beetroot, radishes, onions, spring onions, peas, borage, marjoram, dill, bergamot. I think that's everything.

Moved the spinach seedlings into the main bed.

    Weeded the back garden

Put up the new rotary drier

Planted my new Allium (courtesy of my mother-in-law)

    Edged the lawn (OH mowed)

    It all looks very tidy.

In preparation for the new shed arriving, I have ordered some nice shed paint, which I'm optimistically hoping will cover both the little shed and the new one (not likely). It was Buy One Get One Half Price PLUS 15% off. The shed is really ugly so it needs some paint.

In other news, today we had a spinach omelette, with spinach I grew and Duck eggs from our friends' ducks. It was probably the nicest omelette I've ever had. Rather exciting being able to pick food and cook it immediately.

You know when you wake up feeling awful because you've had terrible terrible dreams? Well the terror continued with my first trip to the dentist in 4 years.

The good news is that my teeth aren't as bad as I thought and apparently I have good plaque control.

The bad news is that the hairline crack (caused by a filling that I don't believe I ever needed at the age of 15 (got a new dentist and suddenly my perfect teeth needed 3 fillings)) from 4 years ago is now a "bad crack" and needs to be fixed. If I'm lucky he can patch it up, if not he'll have to remove the old filling and start again. I guess if it really goes badly then half of my tooth will fall out.
Financially, this means an extra £51. Damn

I spent hours painting the shed today. Still needs lots of work.

The new shed arrived but it's quite a big job to put up. I'm going to paint it beforehand to make it easier but we might need a third pair of hands.

Feeling a bit rubbishy at the moment with 4 days of antibiotics to go. I really wish I could take a few days out from everything but I have to work tomorrow and then it'll be another weekend of painting and building.

I still haven't sorted my ISA or arranged for any quotes for the many jobs that need doing.

It looks like Monday will be the only day in April where I have nothing planned so maybe I should have a PJ day.

In better news, 8 units of gas used this week and 14 of electric. I like the sunshine. Once the garden is finished (not that a garden is ever finished) I am looking forward to actually sitting in the sun and reading a book.
