I've just bought a new pair of Fila gym trainers from TKMaxx where I also bought my previous Skechers. They have Asics and New Balance- I tried a lovely pair of New Balance on which were £29.99 but they were just a fraction too small- maybe try there?*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Asics recommended by podiatrists. We bought them from MandM too. DD over-pronates and they were £44.99, but some are £29.99 if you have balanced feet. Go through quidco for 2% cashback although mine didn't track for some reason.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I'm also a fan of Asics. I bought a cheap pair of Oberon 7 (neutral) on ebay brand new for £35 a year or so ago. They were fine, but then I won a pair of trainers from Sweatshop from Parkrun. I got checked on the treadmill etc and was told neutral was right for me. Also visible wear up the centre on my old Asics confirmed this. I got some lovely Cumulus 16s. I think these are the newest style.
Only thing with Asics is that you have to be careful with sizing. Hopefully OP is aware if they have already had Asics. I wear a 7 or 71/2 in shoes from Clarks, M&S etc, and an 8 is comfortable but neatish in Asics. I could probably also wear an 8 1/2 but that's harder to get. I just bought some Asics trail shoes with the intention of using them for rough ground walking.0 -
Thanks Lesley74, I buy a size 7 men's because of wide feet and they always seem to fit well. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
