Hi all, I'm new to this so hi, I've recently been successfully with sorting my own PPIs but I remember when I brought my first house in 1993 the financial advisor sold us an endownement policy. My husband can remember us getting a letter a number of years later saying it was worth nothing and so we changed our mortgage and cancelled the policy without getting anything back. I have no paperwork at all, is it worth contacting anyone about it to see if I can reclaim? Thanks

You have 6 years from commencement or 3 years from being reasonably aware of a problem to make a complaint before you can be timebarred from complaint. (whichever is the longer, which is usually the three years rule)

So, if you surrendered and switched to repayment basis more than 3 years ago then you can be timebarred.
