Hi everyone,
I am currently filling out the forms and i am looking for some advice
On the SOA do i need 3 copies as i have read somewere on here or just the 1?
Something else that is bothering me is on the form it asks When did you first have trouble paying your debts, now i have had trouble for a long time but have used cards took out more cards in the hope that this would all be ok(if that makes any sense),how will this be looked upon as i am worried.
Also how long is the OR likely to go back on your account.
Also i am not sure on the exact dates as to when i took some of the cards out and i can't ring them up when i owe them money, what shall i do.
Also i am living in a housing association property is there any way that i could be evicted because i am going BR there is nothing in my rent agreement that mentions BR.?
any advice please i appreciate all your comments.
thanks again

I can answer some of your queries .
You need 3 copies.
The OR can go back for 5 years if he wants to.
Do not worry about the dates and just mention approx dates as OR can find from the creditors himself.
As long as u maintain your rent they cannot evict you.
Dont worry and take it easy as you have come to right place and more experienced posters will be here to help u.LIVE AND LET LIVE0 -
Hi Lisa.
I can help a little with one of the questions. I asked a while ago if i had to fill in all three forms and was advised to call the court and ask them as everyone had different experiances of this. I rang the court and they said i had to hand fill in all three..it took my forever to cross check etc. When i went to the court to get a date they said i only needed to fill in two of them..grrrr!!
Anyway best advice is probably to ring your court and ask!The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

You need to check with your court. Some want just the one and make photocopies, while others want you to bring 3 yourself. That why there are different answers to this from different sources.
Something else that is bothering me is on the form it asks When did you first have trouble paying your debts, now i have had trouble for a long time but have used cards took out more cards in the hope that this would all be ok(if that makes any sense),how will this be looked upon as i am worried.
Nothing to worry about. I just put down when I was forced to just pay minimum payments. Others have put when they first had to default on payments. A few words of explanation and it will be fine whatever you put.
Also how long is the OR likely to go back on your account.
The OR normally asks for 12 months of statements (if you have them). They can go back further (5 years) if they think they have good cause though.
Also i am not sure on the exact dates as to when i took some of the cards out and i can't ring them up when i owe them money, what shall i do.
Give an approximate date, but make it clear it is only approximate. The OR can ask the CC company if they need exact info.
Also i am living in a housing association property is there any way that i could be evicted because i am going BR there is nothing in my rent agreement that mentions BR.?
Not sure on that one, but I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I'm sure others can help.
any advice please i appreciate all your comments.
thanks again
Hope that helps.

Thanks,
I'm worrying abit now is it just 3 copies of the petition or 3 copies of the whole form as there was only 3 copies of the petition in my pack also on section 7 the outgoings page do all the things like holidays come under other essential payments as that is the only place i can see to put them.
thanks again0 -
sorry forgot to ask does it look bad if my outgoings are more than my incomings.

Check with your court exactly what you will need to take on the day, that way no worries.
All other expenses go in the box on Q 7.1, but you can continue with anything you cant fit in on the extra info sheets on section 13.
It doesn't matter if your outgoings exceed your incoming a little. If asked you can say you are working to cut things down. Plus it also gives the OR some room to cut down on allowed expenses and makes them feel as if they are earning their money.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
