I was refused for a vanquis card!!!!!!

Don't want it anymore tho!!!
Me too - and I only filled in the form to see if it was a genuine offer - I would have cancelled the card BEFORE it was activated. It appears that they are 'owned' by our old friends Provident.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

surely noone would be stupid enough to fall for that?
These companies don't deal in that type of loan.
They operate in an environment where normal credit facilities are not usually available, and, usually, for 'relatively' small amounts of money. They stop just short of the definition of 'loan sharks' and claim a certain amount of respectability in their particular section of the market.
Hence the number of shops that display the 'Provident Cheques Welcome' sign.
This, however, does not excuse their exorbitant interest rates.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

New products? provident and payday cheque companies have been running since the dinosaurs.
This is definatly nothing new and its certainly well documented on these forums. The provident have literally been working for way way way before my time.
Its the old fashioned benefits skim, what keeps the poor happy? Provident loans
A fair proportion of people fall for it. 0
