Hello,
I am wondering how being on maternity leave will affect me and my partner getting a mortgage? Does anyone know what lenders take into account regarding this with all the new rules around lending?
Thanks

Best you'll get;-
return to work letter showing return to work date/salary
last payslip
your confirmation letter you're going back full time etc
and the lender takes your pre-maternity pay as long as you're going back on the same salary/hours etc or if going back part-time, the new pay as long as it's noted in the return to work letter.
Worst you'll get;-
return to work letter showing return to work date/salary
last payslip
your confirmation letter you're going back full time etc
proof of savings to cover maternity leave period
and loads more questions before the lender decides to exclude your income as it's considered too risky.
