Just a quick note, they're also flogging this tent on ebay via a company called cyber checkout. They seem to be going for around the same price though, but might be worth keeping an eye out for a bargain bid???

Seems a good deal . There are many review/comments on this tent on https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk ( go to message boards, then do a search on freecamp and a search on auckland in the tent talk section)
There are some happy customers and some not so happy customers.
Personally Im thinking of getting one as I only go camping in very good weather anyhow. Ok it`s the skoda of the tent world, but whats wrong with skodas?

On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.

All, just a warning to be careful. I've ordered some stuff from e-directory and the site is merely a payment portal for merchants. This means you are then dealing with a third party and relying on them to deliver your goods etc. I ordered a pool and a hammock from the site 5 weeks ago (merchant - cybercheckout.com / 1getfit.com ) and still have had nothing delivered despite an original delivery estimate of 2-3 working days! I've asked for a refund but have been refused until they "work out what went wrong"!! I'm just saying to be careful as I won't be ordering anything from there again.

    Cheers

I have to say a word of warning. I bought a tent from this company and have had nothing but disappointment and problems with it. The product was damaged (unusable) and the replacement parts that were sent (after several begging letters/emails and phonecalls) were also damaged. "Customer care" couldn't have cared less - they said (and I quote) "look, I'm really busy and I have other thing to do". If you buy at online auction they will also refuse to offer a refund. Try Asda instead who are selling a large family tent for similar price.

Can't vouch for the company but here is the direct link. http://www.cybercheckout.com/

Oh and if it was the 'Skoda' of the tent world I'd buy one, what I'm worried about is if it turns out to be the Fiat of the tent world!
All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!
  • I bought an Alexandria (6 man) tent from cybercheckout/1getfit last summer and other items in separate transactions and they were fine to deal with - the tent is easy to put up and we certainly got no more dripped on than friends with a 'posh' tent. Deivery was more like 5 days than 2 but everything was Ok when we got it. The comments ref the bedrooms are right in my opinion - their 3/4 person room is a sensible double and their double idea is a decent single - so my tent is a 1 double, 1 single tent and the Auckland would thus be 2 doubles and a single I guess.

Stay clear of Cybercheckout. I bought a tent from them at the start of May. They sent me a used tent which was different from the on i ordered. When i phoned "customer services" (after being on hold/engaged tone for 30 mins) i was told the matter would be investigated and they would send out the correct tent. I never heard anymore from them and 3 e-mails have gone unanswered. I telephoned yesterday and the customer advisor said she would look into it........................... Still waiting for an outcome.
