Hi People,
I have about 5k worth of fines from not filing my Self Assessment
this was due to me being ill (i had a breakdown) I fully understand that i have to pay, but i would like to reduce it if at all possible.
has anyone had any experiance in doing this? is there anything thing i should avoid saying or anything i should put in?
thanks for your help
paul

£5000 is a lot of fines - might be worth spending a few hundred in engaging a professional. Nevertheless you may have reasonable grounds:
