Hmmm.....I last bought a Poundland dye for touch ups after struggling to find a product that worked really well on my stray white roots. Divided it into eighths for use every 6 weeks or aim and guess what, it cost £1. So that's 12.5p per touch up vs £3.25.

interesting I've always wondered about doing this. so you make up an eight of the dye then make the rest when needed? it keeps ok then.

    thanks

I'd be quite weary of doing this. At least not keeping it mixed together.

I saved a bottle of Live XXL red once as I only used a little and when I went back to use it again, I unscrewed the cap and it exploded over my ceiling:p

I happily use box dyes from the poundshop to touch up my roots though, just don't save them.

Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser is currently down to £2.98, better than half price as just as good as the Liz Earle/ No 7 one too.

Usually £5.98. Includes the muslin cloth.

I have been using Poundland dyes for over a year without issues and I am interested on how you divide it, is it just by eye or do you a special method ?
I know this is not a hair dye thread, but I thought others may be interested in your response too :)

I have done this for years, (not with the poundland dye though) one of my hairdressers suggested it. I dont divide mine into 8ths, I have far too much hair/grey ratio. I used to divide my hair colours into 3rds, more recently I have gone to just using half a pack to give better coverage which is quite easy to do if you have an old transparent mixing botle as you can just split the contents and put them side by side to check they have the same amount in. Its harder to measure the other liquid as the botle is not transparent. When I used to divide in smaller amounts I used to use the medicine cups you get to measure out medicine as they are marked out in 10ml gradients up the side of the cup. I also had a large one I kept hold of specifically for this purpose as it went upto 60mls. Its better if what you are using to measure is transparent so you can check how much you are dispensing. I measure the first liquid then put in a separate container (one I kept from one of the actual root packs to mix together with the brush) and then repeat with the second liquid.

thanks OP and Mon :) -

I'm convinced my DD eats face wipes, she goes through that many of them.

I found the 30p ones in both Vic centre and Clumber St stores this morning, stocked up, so should last a little while (if I hide them :rotfl:).

just as a heads-up, still loads of the 30p Superdrug Simply Pure spot clearing facial wipes (25 in a pack) and same range facial scrub, also 30p, in my local stores - and they also now go through as bogohp, as they are Superdrug own brand, so 2 products for 45p :).

Not on a superdrug thread? ;)

All discount codes are on the discount codes board.
