Mortgage with a non EU-Spouse

Options
Hi Folks,

Looking for some advice. I'm British, but my wife of 1 year is a US citizen. We really want to buy our first home, and have a small deposit. However, after some research, it seems that this will be very difficult until my wife has permanent residency.

Since they tightened up the immigration rules, this is going to be another 2 years :( I earn a reasonable salary, but it is not big enough to get a mortgage of sufficient size on my own.

Does anyone have any advice, or has anyone been in a similar situation? We'd really rather not spend another 2 years renting!

Thanks!

Have a chat with an experienced broker.

Subject to the detail, there could well be a couple of lenders that will take this on.
