  • It is seeing threads like this that make me rejoice that we don't see much shared ownership/equity, HTB, new build stuff in this office - it makes my head heart. :wall:

The reason for the post .... we've had Virgin on our 'don't bother' list for some time but have just given them another go on a handful of cases and so far certainly improved (but my no means perfect - underwriters still make up their demands for additional stuff on a whim as far as I can see). Certainly fairly quick at the moment

I must be the only person who likes Virgin. First choice for me.

Great BDM, sensible underwriters and quick service. Package the applications correctly and they fly through.

Did an out of the ordinary with them a couple of weeks back. Needed to use Ltd co net profits, retaining current resi until sold so as to be no chain and an additional property let in the background.

App to offer in a week. Top noth.

I like our Virgin BDM, talked us back into using them again and then the case from hell - which should not have been the case.

From application to valuation was 2 days shy of a month. Systems issues.

And get this, down graded from 90% on DIP to 85% LTV post full application based upon the clients not running enough credit lines.

On our wide berth, but will only use them if we have to list

All of my skipton cases fly through. I would send them everything if I could.
Precise always seem to get mine through without any hiccups.

I am quite impressed with Natwest (bar the need for a fax machine).

Accord... I think everyone knows my feelings on them.

They don't deal with brokers but are very picky.

ahh that makes sense then :)

    Do brokers get better deals..

whats the best 'deal' out there.. I'm with HSBC - on a lifetime tracker - at 1.5% above base.. I'm guessing that in the long run that might well be worht sticking with.. as to me it 'feels' quite low - and I'm not sure there is a better deal out there?!
