I have just spoken to an advisor at London and Country re mortgage after dmp. He said we would have to wait at least 2 yrs until anyone so much as looked at us.
He didn't ask anything about equity, ltv or income. After reading Kensingtons lending criteria this says different to the advice I was given. Does anyone know with regards to this?
Many thanks.

Kensington will consider... definitely not a guarantee.
There are some lenders who will look at this depending on th LTV.
L&C are mainstream fee free brokers, they want nice easy cases that will not cause any issues.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. A lot depends on how much the DMP has 'trashed' your file.
ACG is right in that your type of case does not seem to be the kind of thing L&C are interested in.

Further to ANMBLOGs post.. be prepared to pay that sort of adviser a fee! It takes time and effort to get it through.
L&C don't charge so pick up the easy cases. Anything remotely time consuming beyond the norm is generally moved on by them.I am a Mortgage Adviser.
