Mortgage/switching bank account

Hello all, I'm considering buying a property for the first time on my own (have had a joint mortgage in the past but currently renting) and I'm considering switching my current account. Will this have an affect on any mortgage decision? I've been with a certain bank for almost 20 years but their customer service has gone way down hill, my debit card was recently "temporarily placed on hold" for no reason whatsoever, and nobt one of the 4 people I spoke to during a 56 minute phonecall overseas could tell me why this had happened either, nor could they tell me that it wouldn't happen again!! Anyway, long story short, I want to switch my account. I have an excellent credit history and manage my finances well, but I'm concerned that if I switch accounts, it may have a negative impact when I apply for a mortgage. Any advice please? Leave it until after the new mortgages completes.

A credit search for a new account may make no difference, but if it does, it won't be a good difference.

If you get an offset mortgage or move bank account and mortgage to the same Lender you may get a better rate.
