Double nectar point with insurance - are we in?

Hi all
Asking mostly to settle an argument between the other half and I, I'm afraid!
A few months ago we changed our home insurance to Sainsbury's Bank. As part of the deal we were told we'd get double nectar points on our Sainsbury's shopping; something that we found appealing as we do nearly all our food shopping there.
Since then, we definitely have not had double points automatically applied. However, I've noticed that we get one of those 'double nectar points on your next visit' vouchers on almost every visit, and I'm pretty sure we didn't get those more than about once a month in the past. The only time we don't get the double point voucher is when we shop more than once a week.
I think that the deal is handled this way - you get these vouchers associated with your account and if you don't use them, you lose them. My other half thinks this is rubbish and we just haven't successfully got the deal.
Who is likely to be right? I find their customer services a bit of a pain.

I think your other half is right, and I'd be annoyed at that- I shop every few days and some weeks every day for food, if an offer said double points on all shopping it seems pretty clear to me and needs to not squirm out of things like this. I'd complain and threaten to/move elsewhere if they are not keeping their word, it would make me question what else would they impose limits on without being clear about (ie the product/service you chose from them)0

Have you looked at their FAQs - http://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/faq/faq_double_nectar.shtml?source=NETREWRDFAQSMAIN0020#accordion-item-1-9When do my points get added to my Nectar account?
Your base points from Sainsbury's will be added to your Nectar account as before.
The matching points collected as a result of your insurance policy, loan or savings account will be calculated on the last business day of each month and we will add them to your Nectar account by the 10th of the following month. Points collected on credit cards may take up to six weeks to appear on your account.
Most times when you get extra points they get added on later and not at the till.0
