Hello Everyone
I know this has probably been written time and time again but I cannot find a thread explaining what I need right now, probably doesn't help that I am trying to look on my phone, rather than computer!
I am currently trying to sort my finances out (see sig) and have just been given a few extra bills, I hadn't forgotten about these, but I haven't put anything back to cover them either!
The long and short of it is the bills are £2800 and I have 6 weeks to pay them. I have £1625 that I can chuck in from my wages over this period.
So my question is, can I earn £1175.00 in 6 weeks, which I work out to be an average of about £28 a day?
I have read all the advice regarding this in the 'up your income' section and worked out I can earn £13 a day by using various sites for surveys, watching vids, clicking etc. I have also signed up to a mystery shopping site and 63336 (not heard anything as yet from them though).
I have joined Swagbucks and have earned £5 already but that's on an amazon gift card - I need cash pay outs rather than vouchers.
I am also going to go through the cupboards tonight to see what/if I can sell anything on eBay.
I do have an overdraft that I can pay these bills with, but at £1.50 a day charge I'm trying to avoid that.
Thank you for help

It is definitely going to be hard, unless you have lots of items to sell.
With regards to Swagbucks, and other sites, they often do Paypal, for a slightly higher amount per £. Also, perhaps you could find a friend who is buying something on Amazon anyway and will give you the money for any vouchers you can get?
I would say slog away as much as you can on Clixsense, as payouts are twice a week, Monday and Friday, do as many surveys as you can. Get any overtime you can at work, eBay what you can, consider speaking to the company you owe the debt to and asking them if you can pay over a longer period, it may cost you more interest, but it may save your sanity!
Good luck to you xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thank you katykicker,
Regarding items to sell, I have a lot of jewellery which I am thinking of selling, I know I wont get half of what I paid BUT... it will all add up I guess.
That's a good idea about asking friends and family if they are planning to buy on amazon, ill try and sell the vouchers to my mum.
I did join Clixsense last night but have yet to do anything on there, I will sit down tonight and get cracking with that.
I will ask work regarding overtime also, thank you so much x0 -
... forgot to mention PM me if you want some ideas/links
that would also be against the rules as you well know.
Far better for the poster (Penlett) to look in the different threads here and also use the MSE links where available, as they tend to offer a better deal to the poster (Penlett) than the ones that you would be able to offer, that would only benefit YOU.0 -
It wouldn't only benefit me, but I didn't know it was against the rules...
I've tested systems for my blog and could avoid the OP wasting time on some of these that wouldn't pay up in the timeframe desired i.e. Bubblews is praised as the best thing since sliced bread but isn't worth the time let alone if you want quick payouts.
I know there are spammers out there but I am again frustrated that the first response is to go mad at someone for trying to help.0 -
Wow. Kind of taken aback by the response there. I also didnt know it was against the rules :I Seems like the dude genuinely wanted to help.
MSE forums is still as scary as it seemed years ago. Back to lurking!0 -
Hi Penlett:wave:
I was very interested to read of your predicament because I frequently find myself needing to make/find some cash quickly to meet a deadline:o, I really sympathise with you and hope things are going well so far. Please keep us posted.
I see from your sig that you paid off a massive amount of your existing debts between mid June and 22nd July and as it looks as if several of these are to family members couldn't you negotiate a bit of breathing space with them? That would free up some extra to pay off the 'unexpected' debts that you are worried about.
Why not sell some stuff at a car boot sale? As you'll guess from my username that's my 'thing':rotfl: You may make less than selling on eBay but you won't have their fees and at least you'll have the money straight away. You may have the opportunity to do a few before your deadline. Pitch fees can be anything from £5 upwards though so you'll need to factor that in. Maybe friends and relatives would donate unwanted items for you to sell or maybe go halves with the cost of the pitch. Don't sell anything valuable though, it's so easy to get ripped off by pushy traders etc who zoom in on novices
Good Luck:beer:0 -

Be sure to do some research before putting them up on eBay.
On the eBay homepage, to the right of the blue Search button click "Advanced". Enter keywords for the item you want to sell and tick "Completed Listings" under what to include. This will show you how much similar items have recently sold for on eBay.
Also it's a matter of opinion but I always shy away from doing "0.99p" listings (unless it's truly worth only that) and just put in a minimum I'm comfortable with based on what the item generally goes for.
Do you have any skills or abilities to utilise?
Have you sought any free legal & debt advice from services like the Citizens Advice Bureau to see if you can have the 6 week deadline extended and split paying it off into smaller sums over a longer period rather than one huge sum? Just make sure you keep up your current efforts to meet the payments of course. :A0
