Want to move out, but parents house is black listed

Hi
I want to move out with my partner next year. I have an excellent credit score and by then will have around a 15 -20% deposit for a mortgage
My partner lives at home but has just found out his parents house is black listed
Will this affect us when we want to apply for a mortgage?
His credit score at the moment is around poor - average but he has been accepted for a car loan and has a credit card which he uses monthly to improve his score.
I am just worried that when the times comes, that no matter what his credit score is we will still get rejected because of his parents appaling history
Thanks for any help

There is no such thing as black listing an address anymore. People have individual credit ratings, so provided he has no financial links with his parents, it should be fine.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The property doesnt get blacklisted what makes you think that it is?
If the parents have poor credit thats got no impact on your partners credit rating, unless he has joint credit taken out with them
If his parents are going on your mortgage, and I am sure they are not, this would cause a problemI am a Mortgage Adviser

Sometimes it can cause an issue if your partner has either the same name or possibly the same first initial (and surname) as his father - is this the case?0

Ok thank you, has put my mind at ease.
He has no joint credit with them, he was told by his parents that the house is blacklisted :S

No his name is different from his fathers.0 -
He should, as a matter of course when considering applying for a mortgage, obtain the three different versions of his credit file to ensure there is nothing untoward;-
Equifax

CallCredit

Experian

He should avoid paying for services which suggest they provide a credit score. This is not worth the money.I am a mortgage broker.
