Hi
I would just like to say that I use vouchers in Tesco that is on the "vouchers as a word document" thread from alison and den.
I have however noted that some people have also started putting up some vouchers on a word document for example:
Now the point of this post is that the vouchers on the above "word document" is mostly from airwick, finish etc. basiclly all home solution news vouchers.
Can I just say that all those type of vouchers are personalised vouchers with a unique pin number on top of the voucher. If everybody on here keeps using the same vouchers with the same pin number they will see it and problems could start.
Another point is that it is clearly fraud and im sure they can crack down on that big time.
My advice print out your own home solution news vouchers and copy the other vouchers.
Thanks
Robin

Thanks for that
.
I think its all gotten a bit crazy. I simply wanted to create a document that had them all to hand so that yu dod't have to spend loads of time searching for them. As it seems now, Tesco's are no longer allowing the use of vouchers for products not bought.:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
My local tescos has now cracked down - from virtually free shopping and as many as you like to 6 only on the self serve, they all have to be different and they will void vouchers they don't want to take or you have doubled up on - this has been all this week, it was certainly different from last week. I was told Tesco are clamping down on vouchers and coupons - got the impression it was not just mine it was all Tesco. Ah well it was good while it lasted - back to Netto!!0

I agree with halloweenqueen... alternative shops for me too ! as already stated the main reason for me shopping in tescos was the fact the took coupons therefore made sense to buy from them even if some of the items could be found cheaper elsewhere .. HOWEVER if they do stop taking coupons unless you buy the product I suspect they will lose a lot more customers than they think as nearly everyone seems to hand in some sort of coupon when at the checkout.0

I just posted about Upton Park store, they also now take 5 vouchers per transaction (must be all different brands)0

Even though Tesco self service tills have has their software updated this week, the're still taking any coupons at our local store.

Sorry for those of you who don't have self service.0 -
our self serve still allowing anything, ainsburys and safeway vouchers still whizzing through0
-
Our self serve still lets them through but at the end where it asks for an operator because the discount is a high percentage they go and check them and cancel the vouchers. >:(0

eek this is my biggest monthly money saving thing. i hope tesco are not going to change this policy, my local one has been ok to date, and opposite to many people i find my local asda just do not take them at all.

Obviously, if large numbers of people are stuffing pounds worth of Internet vouchers through tills against shopping it is going to get noticed, and a restrictive policy will be put in place to contain the situation. The coupon campaigns are often administered by external (small) marketing companies who will either be taking a big hit, or (more likely) refusing to by not paying the supermarkets back for the vouchers. So everyone in a position of sufficient influence to be able to instigate clamp down will have their noses put way out of joint.
There's a bit of the killing the Golden Goose about the way people seem to have been overusing Internet vouchers - a little bit of common sense and subtlety would probably have kept the loophole open longer -but so long as people have had some benefit out of it, I suppose it's worthwhile overall.
The best thing to do is probably to back off for a while. They'll either relax the restrictions in time or they won't, but certainly trying to circumvent them won't help. The worst case would be controls in the till IT systems so that you were forced to buy the products the coupons were for - this would be a logical next step if things are pushed too far.0 -
Well I decided to give the self service a miss and went through the checkout - bored lad took loads of vouchers and I got and £8+ shop down to £1.43!!0
