Help I thought I was already discharged???

Hi all. 16 months after my bankruptcy order I have received a letter informing me that my bankruptcy has been transferred to the Long Term Asset and Distribution Team. I am very confused by this as although I have never received a letter confirming my discharge I have never received any correspondence informing me that my discharge had been suspended, therefore I just assumed I had been discharged after the usual 12 months. Can anyone shed any light? Surely if my discharge had been suspended I should have been informed?
Thanks

Yes, if your discharge has been suspended then you would have been informed.
It has to be done by application to the court so you would have known.
You are almost certainly discharged. Those are the people who amongst other things, look after the admin on cases where although you are still discharged there is still something ongoing to sort that couldn't be done in the 12 months. Interest in a property, an IPA etc etc. Something of that nature.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Oh, and as it's 16 months ago it's probably a bit to late to check the online register to see your discharge confirmed on their, and it only remains there for 3 months after your discharge.
You can however email the insolvency service for conformation, and they even have an email dedicated to this.
