Thank you everyone! I'm really back on the wagon with this. Reeling my spending in and will definately put the extra money back in plus whatever else.
I've made a start by selling some of my clothes mountain esp all the stuff that has never been out of carrier bags:o
Also starting on our grocery budget which is shameful really for 2 people.
I need to sort out some sort of new savings account as the 22k was in ISA's with Leeds that is no longer open to put money into but I'll set aside time this week to investigate.
Good luck everyone with your own personal journey.0 -
I have just realised that yesteday I didn't spend a thing and now know why people make cupboard inventories, having done so I then managed to make lunches for OH for next 3 days and dinner for tonight out of the freezer and can see by looking at my lists quite a few other meals to concoct.
Also discovered that I need a sports water bottle as the amount of throw away ones in fridge and car is ridiculous. Feels like I'm starting to get my sensible head back on.
We had our local gala on Saturday night and tradition is to throw money at the floats which may have some reaching for the gin bottle but we always take a bag of change so I was able to use the leftovers when I emptied my change pots the other day but on the nice side the total they raised so far is just over 7k from the floats.
Aim for today - find a cheap water bottle.0 -
Not posted for a bit as was at a music festival and stuff. This next 3 months are going to be big spends, holiday paid for but not accounted for spending money and getting some renovations done so need a LOT set aside for that.
Think it will be November before I can overpay again sadly. Just hope the wait doesn't destroy my motivation. Oh well onwards and upwards...0
