I received my nectar magazine, and found the following advertisment inside:
SOME REWARDS WE'VE CHOSEN SPECIALLY FOR YOU.
Enjoy £5 OFF at Argos NOW! just swipe your card instore.
terms and conditions apply.
i went to argos, purchase two floor lamps for £10.00. I presented my card, paid no money, and left, to find 2000 points had been deducted from my nectar Account (equivlant of £10.00). I quired this with nectar yesterday, but could not make heads of tails of what they were telling me, so telephoned again today, was told by the advisor, the advert was encouraging me to use my nectar points at Argos, and not giving me £5.00 off. Did I read the above wording wrong?
I looked for the T&C, but none on the website, so asked the advisor at nectar to log as a complaint, surely this is advertising £5.00 off, suggestions anyone?

What were the T and C. Was it something like £5 off minimum £50 spend?. I tried making heads of tails once.... it didn't workA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

sorry but the wording is correct. I can see how you feel mislead however i don't think you'll get anywhere by complaining.0

The Nectar thing is actually giving an example of what you could use your points for, it is not giving you extra, but I do understand why you thought it was.
I received mine recently and it showed what I could spend in Debenhams and at first I did think it was extra but then I realised it wasn't, it was just how I could spend my points.0 -

little odd, mine said I would get £10 off. I queried this when I went into Argos to buy something, the girl on the till could not understand it either so she went to ask the manager. Apparently that was how much I had in points available on the card to use in Argos, but I agree it is misleading0
