You won't know unless you try.

It won't have any effect on your credit file.

Worth doing if they are chasing you for the debt.

Be advised, they may send you junk and claim its valid.

I had a current format agreement sent on a 90s account, saying its what you would have signed, it's valid now pay us.

They may not properly reconstitute it.

Unless the have the signed one, they are stuffed in court.

You could also send them a SAR, if they have the original they should include a copy.

As soon as I told them to do one cos the CCA was junk they sold it to a DCA. Despite several solicitors letters since, to which I repeated my points, never been to court and if it does they will have wasted their money.

it will stay on your credit file 6 years from default no matter what
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

When these debts get sold on, the DCA that buys them does not get any official paperwork relating to that debt, they buy them by the batch load in bulk, just names and account numbers on a spread sheet.
Any CCA agreements are still held (or not) by the original creditor, that's why there is usually a delay in actioning a CCA request, as the DCA has to refer back to the original lender.
Little woods are/were notorious for sending out goods without a valid CCA agreement, so its always worth doing a CCA request.
