Hello all,
I have been unemployed for the passed 2 year, i have recently started a new job where i earn 20k a year , my partner works part time and earns around 8k a year.
I have been at my new job now for around 1 month, ive had a read around and heard that there is no chance of me getting a mortgage unless i have been employed for 3-6 month.
I am a first time buyer looking at houses around 100k, I would like to put down a 10% deposit although i could stretch to a 20% deposit
The job i am currently working also has a 6 month probationary period which i hear is also a no-go zone when it comes to getting a mortgage.
Basically im asking is it possible for me to get a mortgage any sooner than 6 month ? maybe 3 month ?.
Also is it likely that i will be accepted if i have been in the job for 6 month as i have a really good credit rating?
Really appreciate any input and if you need more info just let me know.
Thanks alot

You can get a mortgage with just a job offer.
As for the likelihood of being accepted it will depend on the case, impossible to say with so little information.
Have a chat with a broker, there will be lenders though.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
