Hi not sure if there is a main difference between the barclays cash card account and the barclays bank account.
I have one my gf has the other we both have contactlesws debit cards etc i have the cash account and dont want an overdraft.
I can still add packs etc so dont really understand the difference except for the overdraft / reserve sections.
Anyone know of anything i missed.

Arre you sure you've got a Cash Card account? According to the Compare Bank Accounts table on Barclays' website you don't get a contactless debit card on the Cash Card account.

The page on contactless debit cards advises that it's available on the Barclays Bank Account and the Premier Current Account. No mention of the Cash Card account.0 -
Some people have reported getting contactless on their basic accounts but I've never seen this. Highly doubt it though.0

Barclays do now give contactless on their cash card account and have done for sometime now.
So yes you can have a basic account and have a contactless card, Barclays are the only ones doing this at the moment.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Just remember these cards don't work for London buses as they require online authorisation.0 -
And yet the account I set up with them the other day doesn't have contactless on the card. Not that I care as I'll be using the account to switch it to a Halifax one shortly.0
