Hi all , could someone inform me when does the 6yrs statue barred start from ?
Is it from the last default ? or from my last payment ?
And how many times can a debt be defaulted ?
Sorry for being a norse here but have looked at my credit file and have a few defaults that are years old.
Really want to clear up my credit file , have cca ed these years ago and not had any valid responses but still they remain on my file.

So if they remain on my credit file can I get them took off ? or will they disappear eventually ?0

An account can only be defaulted once, you cant have them removed unless the account was defaulted incorrectly, six years from the date it was defaulted, it will drop off your file.
Also, just going back to what you said about not complying with your CCA requests, until they do comply, the creditor would be in default of said request and could not obtain a CCJ against you until the request was actioned.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. They must use the original default date that the creditor previously used on their entry on your credit file.
They cannot change the date of default (although it is not unheard of for debt collectors to date defaults the date they buy the debt). If they do you can complain to get it corrected.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Sorry to be a pain but on looking at some of these old defaulted accounts on experian some say satisfied , even though I know i didnt pay in full, any ideas ?0

Can sometimes be that the original creditor marks them as satisfied when they sell them on to a debt collector.
The debt collector may then add their own entry (either to the same credit reference agencies or sometimes to one of the other 2).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
