we put an offer in on a house in May of this year - survey, searches... all done.
the vendor is now pulling out as we have requested to carry out further surveys.
we are now looking elsewhere, can we transfer our mortgage offer to another property?

this happened to us. We're with nationwide and it was really simple to switch the houses, although our broker handled it for us.
It is horrible at the time, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. Much nicer house. And it went through a lot quicker as we were further along in the mortgage process, it was fairly simple. It also showed our vendors we were proceedable as we had already had a full offer. Good luck!0 -
Just to add, they didn't charge for a new application, so they only extra it cost us in the end was the new searches, and the new survey. Solicitor didn't charge any extra as he said he hadn't done any major work yet. HTH.0

You need to ask your lender for its policy.cookie_monster_2 wrote: »we put an offer in on a house in May of this year - survey, searches... all done.

Complexity/aggro will depend on date of original application and if it was pre or post MMR.I am a mortgage broker.
