A) Answer or just Answer

When I reply with an email answer to a competition I usually include the A) B) C) or 1. 2. 3. and then the answer ie:

B) Answer
my address etc

I notice several of the comps posted on here don't show the A B C bit and just give the answer ?

No criticism and I'm very grateful to the posters but do you think it matters whether you include the A B C ?

I did query it before and was told it doesn't matter.

But it does always bug me! Even if it's not needed it just looks 'right' to include the letter as well, especially I think if it's to be included in the email subject box, so I always click on the link to find it out so I can include it..

I agree; who knows what the comp hoster is looking for so best to include both the letter and the answer
